Various Element Involved in studying the Martial Arts
1.
Basic Exercises- Fundamental punches, kicks, blocks and
hand strikes

Basic Kicks- These two elements of Karate are usually
done as a group activity in the beginning of each formal class, with Sensei
or one of his assistants leading the class

Stretching and warming up exercises

Falling- The art of learning the proper techniques of
protecting one's body when thrown or tripped
5.
Throwing- Art of unbalancing someone and applying a
throwing technique

Exercise Routines- Continuous sequence of basic
exercises and kicks, the purpose of which is to prepare one for kata and
kumite and also to develop the use of technique in different directions.

Kata- Pre arranged fighting forms
8.
Kumite- Free style sparring or fighting. There is little
to no contact made unless protective equipment is worn and there is black
belt supervision
9.
Sho-Bu Techniques- Pre-arranged defensive techniques
practiced with one attacking and the other defending
